Travelle Gaines is a former football player for De La Salle high school in Concord and Vanden high school in Fairfield, both in California. He also played baseball in high school and was drafted into the Major Leagues in 1988 but did not have the same kind of outcome back in high school.

 

Currently, he runs his own training facility, Athletic Gaines, which he started back in 2007. In 2003 Travelle was a defensive and special teams coach for James Lick High school in San Jose, California. In 2004 to 2006 he worked as a three years as a division one  strength and conditioning coach. He coached University of Louisiana-Monroe and and Louisiana State University.This is also where he learned the art of weight lifting under Gayle Thatch, an olympic gold medalist. Since starting Performance Gaines in 2007, Travelle has worked with over 200 professional athletes, including both professional football and basketball players. Some of his work was actually aired on popular sports news shows and websites such as Fox news and ESPN.
