"Our mentality as football players is to get between the white lines and compete, we do enjoy the offseason, but particularly in my case where I missed a bunch of time, I was very eager to get back out there. I was very eager to compete and very eager to help the Philadelphia Eagles win football games."   -Rhett Hall

Hall was born December 5, 1968 and is a San Jose native.  He played his college career at CAL, before being drafted in the sixth round of the 1991 draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  He played his eight seasons as a defensive lineman for teams including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.

During his 1994 season, Hall, despite being a backup, was able to help his San Francisco 49ers win Super Bowl XXIX.  For the next season, he decided to move to Philadelphia since his defensive coordinator, Ray Rhodes, had accepted a job as head coach of the Eagles.  Hall hoped to become a starter, but respiratory problems (pulmonary embolism) sidelined him for most of the 1995 season.  He would continue to play 3 more seasons in the NFL.

"My time that I had in the NFL was great and I cherish so much of that, but in the grand scheme of things, it really was a chapter in my life that I enjoyed. I was also able to walk away from it and know that I was able to do something that not too many people get to do."  -Rhett Hall

Hall now lives in Morgan Hill, California and works at Wells Fargo in San Jose as a financial advisor. He is married with four children (the youngest born with Down Syndrome).
