Raymond Chester, also known as Ray Chester, was a football player from Cambridge, Maryland. He stayed in Maryland for college and attended Morgan State University. He was the 24th overall pick in the 1970 draft. He wore # 87. As a rookie he had 42 receptions for 556 yds  with 7 tds, he was elected All Pro and Pro Bowl. He played 12 years in the National Football League and appeared in four Pro Bowls. He was a tight end for the Oakland Raiders from 1970 to 1972 then went to the Baltimore Colts and played there from 1973 to 1977, and then went back to the Raiders from 1978 to 1981, and finished his career with the Oakland Invaders in 1983. With the Oakland Raiders he won Super Bowl XV by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles. First teammates at tight end to get selected to the pro bowl along with Dave Casper. Also he played in the USFL for the Oakland Invaders.
