Mike Salido is from Union City, CA and attended Moreau High School. In 1986-1990 he Lettered in Football and Track at Moreau. Mike ran 100 and 200-meter races and 4x100 relay. He was team MVP in football two years, All-Catholic League twice, player of the year twice, All-East Bay twice, All-Bay Area twice, and All-Northern California as a senior. He was also South County leading rusher two years in a row. Salido was coached by Tim Walsh while at Moreau. Aside from Football, Mike was a world class BMX rider. He was recruited by Oregon, Washington State, Boston College and Hawai'i. He majored in social work with a minor in Physical Education. Salido was a running back at 5’-11” and 190 pounds. Mike set many records while he was here at Moreau. A highlight of his career includes winning a national championship at BYU.
