Dan Squires started his athletic career at Moreau Catholic High School. He played on Moreau’s football team, Track and Field team. He was a offensive tackle and defensive tackle. On track and field he was a shot putter and discus thrower. He was also on the wrestling team and varsity basketball team. He moved on to Santa Clara University with a scholarship and studied mechanical engineering while playing football for the Santa Clara Broncos. After college, Squiers went undrafted in the NFL draft and was then invited to the San Francisco 49ers training camp, where he was eventually cut. Now, he has 4 children and is living comfortably as a construction manager in the health-care industry.

 

 

 

 

Individual Awards

  • All-CAL, All-County, All-East Bay for MCHS football

  • Team MVP senior year at Moreau

  • All-Bay Area team senior year at Moreau

  • Won the League and County meet in the shot put senior year

  • Offered (3) football scholarships and (2) preferred walk-on invitations.

  • Started for Santa Clara Offensive Line as a freshman
